THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) -

Children dealing with the loss of a loved one can sign up for a Thomas County camp designed just for them..

Camp H.E.A.L is a day camp designed for kids dealing with the loss of a loved one. The camp will include activities such as arts and crafts, bounce houses, and horseback riding.

There are programs to help children who are experiencing grief and counselors will also be there for support.

Memory boxes dedicated to loved ones help the kids deal with their loss. Gina Schumake, The Chairman of the Archbold Foundation said, "We do memory boxes, that's one of the activities to decorate a box with glitters, stickers, markers, and paint. How ever they want to do that."

H.E.A.L stands for Healing and Encouragement After Loss. The last day for registration is October 23rd and the camp will start on November 7th.

You can register children between the ages of 6 to 17 and you can click here to fill out and submit a registration form.
