Loot trail leads right to culprits

LEESBURG, GA (WALB) -

Lee County Sheriff's Deputies continue to look for two teenagers wanted for breaking into a convenience store early this morning. Deputies followed a trail of dropped stolen coins from the store to the house where the burglars were hiding.

19-year-old Kaitlyn Moody has been arrested and charged with burglary in the smash and grab break-in at the Philema Road Chevron Store.

Sheriff's deputies are looking for 18-year-old Tyler Medley, and another juvenile teenager.

Investigators say the three teens smashed the front glass window at the store and stole 35 cartons of cigarettes, lottery tickets, and cash.

"When they knocked on the door they both took off, went out the back door, and ran.  But the female was apprehended," said Lee Co.  Sheriff Reggie Rachals.

The Sheriff's Office has taken arrest warrants for Medley charging her with burglary.
