ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Two South Georgia colleges are coming together for a unique Shakespeare production. Darton State and Georgia southwestern theater students had their final dress rehearsal tonight.
The show infuses parts of four separate Shakespeare plays into one. The cooperation allowed the schools to spend more money on the production than if one had done it alone.
"We were able to go to a professional costuming house. We got great costumes for it and we would never have been able to individually costume a show of this size," said Jeff Green with Georgia Southwestern University.
"It's a wonderful opportunity for our students to be able to work with students other than the ones they see every day to learn to collaborate and to get onto a fabulous big stage of the Rylander Theater in Americus," said Deborah Liss-Green with Darton State.
The shows will be Thursday through Saturday at 8 and Sunday at 2:30 at Darton, then November 5th through 8th in Americus.
