ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A book about Hamilton Jordan, an Albany native and former chief of staff for President Carter, will go on sale Thursday.

Jordan wrote the book before he died of cancer and his daughter edited it. He talks about the his south Georgia roots, his time in Washington, and the prejudice he saw at a national and international level.

"While the book is funny in a lot of respects in what he talks about when he was in high school in Albany high school, it also is a serious book about prejudices and his beginning to understand how those affected him and other people. >

Kathleen Jordan will sign copies of the book Thursday at the Albany Museum of Art from 1 to 7 and Friday at the Albany Civil Rights Museum from 11:30 to 1:30.
