THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) -

A man is in the Thomas county jail after police said a store employee caught him touching a female customer inappropriately.

Nicholas Williams, 35, is charged with sexual battery and assault.

Police said surveillance video shows him groping a woman several times Tuesday at the Thomasville Wal-Mart.

Investigators said they recognized him from a similar case when a woman was groped at the Thomas County Library.

Captain Maurice Holmes with the Thomasville Police Department said, “Always be aware of your surroundings.  If an individual is walking to close to you, invading your space, you need to turn around and make sure it's accidental.”

Williams has been arrested three times in Thomasville for similar acts.

He was also convicted in Florida.
