ASU partners with Georgia to help meet future workforce needs

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

The Georgia Department of Economic Development partnered with Albany State to host area employers and talk about their needs.

Representatives from M&M Mars, National Beef, and Teleperformance attended Wednesday's meeting.

It's all part of the Governor's High Demand Career Initiative to help employers meet their future workforce needs.

"We make sure that our workforce development policies and our education policies are geared toward the needs of our employers in Georgia. So the goal is to hear from employers directly what they need," said HDCI Program Manager Jamie Jordan.

They will host another meeting December 14th in Savannah.
