DOUGHERTY CO., GA (WALB) - Officials report that there hasn't been much activity for early voting in Dougherty County.
So far only 497 people have voted since early voting opened last week.
Election officials also say that they have only mailed out 94 absentee ballots.
Officials encourage people to take advantage of early voting.
"We look at it as an option of course, no waiting in lines. The system that we're utilize in our office is a little different from what they use at the precincts. We have a system that actually pre-fills the application for the voter and we just ask them to review their information and sign off in two spots. Where as at the precinct there is a voter certificate," said Elections Supervisor Ginger Nickerson.
Early voting ends October 30th and election day is November 3rd.
