SYLVESTER, GA (WALB) - Organizers in Sylvester say the Peanut Festival was a success.
Event organizers estimate 12 to 15-thousand people come down for the festival.
They credit the large numbers to the return of the carnival.
Also it was around the same time as Worth County High School's homecoming.
"Game on Friday night, which I think brought in alumni too, that would like to see a game and come to the peanut festival at the same time so it brings people in from out of state," Karen Rackley with Sylvester-Worth County Chamber of Commerce.
Most vendors ran out of food due to the large crowds. Organizers say there are already vendors signing up to be there next year.
