We would like to welcome all of the Albany State alumni and fans who will be in town for this week's homecoming festivities.
Homecoming is not only a time for celebration at Albany State but also for our area businesses.
"We bring $4 million dollars to the economy here during this time period. We also bring $140 million to this economy as a university. So this is a great partnership," Said Chanta Haywood, the Vice President of Institutional Advancement at ASU.
That partnership was on display with the Chamber of Commerce making a substantial donation to help the ASU band march in the Tournament of Roses Parade.
The band will first lead Saturday's homecoming parade through downtown before the football team takes the field to beat rival Morehouse.
