ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Downtown leaders continue to work with Albany State to give downtown Albany a boost.
Last month, ASU students presented results of their downtown survey to ADICA board members.
It showed students were interested in a pedestrian bridge from campus and more retail and housing options downtown.
Students will do follow-up survey next year.
"So starting in the Spring we're going to kind of have a part two to that process where the students will be able to take a closer look at more specific types of businesses that they would like to see downtown and that will help us as we start trying to find those appropriate businesses that are a good fit," said Latoya Cutts, Downtown Manager.
Cutts encourages college students to take advantage of internship opportunities with the city to build better relationships to help with redevelopment.
