ALBANY, GA (WALB) - An Albany church works to protect kids by taking a stand against bullying.
Greater Grace Church of God in Christ held their second annual anti-bullying rally.
Students and parents heard from law enforcers and parents of bullied children on how to get help.
"Know who to go to when they being bullied and we don't hear about anymore kids taking their lives from being bullied," said Patricia Brooks, Minister of Youth Ministry.
"Really just to speak out about it because people need to know about it and even if the bullying is overheard we're asking for other kids who know of it to speak out against it," said Cpl. Brian Covington, Albany Police.
"Because It affects not only the child that was bullied, it affects the entire family not just emotionally, physically but also financially," said Manswell Peterson, Parent of Bullied Child.
October is National Bullying Prevention Month.
