Indictments handed down in Norman Park murder

NORMAN PARK, GA (WALB) -

Indictments were handed down in the murder case of a robbery that turned into a deadly shooting.

The seven teens who were arrested in connection to the crime were indicted.

Six of them were indicted on charges of felony murder, attempted armed robbery, attempted home invasion, possession of a fire arm, theft by taking, and burglary.

Tykerious Jones, 17, Adrian Robinson, 19, Derrick Phillips, 18, Brandon Wynn, 18, Christian Glover, 18, I-Key Pinkins, 18, and Ty’Cameron Hayes, 18, were

Adrian Robinson was indicted on all charges except burglary or theft by taking.

The shooting happened on July 5th at a home on Georgia Hwy 256 in Norman Park.

According to a report, the victim, identified as John Hester confronted the teens. A gun fight began, and Hester was shot.

He was later taken to Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville, where he died.

The teens were initially arrested on July 15th and 16th, and charged with murder and criminal attempt to commit armed robbery.

Some of them are accused of stealing up to 30 guns.

Only eight of those firearms were recovered.

Prosecutors said one suspect, Tykerious Jones, was the "ring leader" of the crime.
