Police search for man who stole bike at gunpoint

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Police are searching for an armed robber, who stole a man's bicycle at gunpoint.

It happened Tuesday afternoon.

According to a report, Calvin Phillips was working in a yard on Kalmon Avenue around 2 p.m. Tuesday, when a man walked by, heading toward the woods behind his house.

Phillips said the man first asked for a cigarette, then pulled a gun and demanded his  red and black mountain bicycle. The robber then rode the bike into the woods.

Phillips described the robber as a black man in his early 20's, six feet tall, and about 150 to 160 pounds, with short hair.

Anyone with information is asked to call Albany Police.
