ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Five people were transported to the hospital after crash at Highland Avenue and Walnut Street, involving a childcare bus Wednesday morning.

The Georgia State Patrol said 24 year old Michael Brown of Albany was driving a 2003 White Chevrolet Tahoe, and ran stop sign, striking a Childcare Network bus in the front.

The bus driver, 43 year old Catherine Grace, and three 4 year old children on board bus were transported for medical treatment, with non life-threatening injuries.

Worst injured, Viryiah Hightower, had a broken arm and cut on the head.  One child was cut on the head, and a third child had a bump on the head.

21 year old Quinnika Barkley, who was driving a Black Saturn, was sitting at stop sign, and two vehicles struck her car after impact. She was transported to the hospital, complaining of back and head pain.

Brown ran on foot from crash. GSP says he has no license, active warrants from Albany Police on obstruction, and probation violation.
