ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Plans are moving ahead for a major renovation project to an Albany high school.
The Board of Education's Building and Grounds Committee is recommending JCI contractors out of Moultrie to handle the $35 milllion project at Monroe High.
The 30 month renovation would be conducted in two phases.
"They made sure everything was done in due diligence because we want to make sure we provide a quality project with a quality school for our students to work in and we think this is the best route," said J.D. Sumner, DCSS Spokesman.
The school board will vote on the proposal Monday.
