ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Early voting starts in just a few days for municipal elections around Georgia. Candidates are working hard to get their messages out.
Thursday night, during a neighborhood watch meeting at Merry Acres Middle School the candidates in the Ward 4 Albany City Commission race talked with voters about their platforms.
Incumbent Roger Marietta says he wants to continue to keep the crime rate low in his area.
Challenger Chad Warbington wants to make sure that more jobs are available.
"The 311 system we're continually upgrading that, traffic calming measures like we have around Lake Loretta, we want to do that throughout the city, and pedestrian safety," said Roger Marietta, City Commissioner.
"I think longterm we've got to figure out our utility structure," said Chad Warbington, Ward 4 City Commission Candidate. "You know we've got a great asset in our utilities, but we've had some uncertainties, some changes in structure."
Early voting starts Monday. Election Day is November third.
