ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Airport authorities say a plane has landed safely after reporting that it had an issue on approach to the runway.

According to the Albany Regional Airport Director, a Delta connection flight from Atlanta with 38 passengers onboard experienced an issue with the flaps on one of its wings.

The pilot alerted authorities, who scrambled emergency crews to the runway as a precaution.

The flight was able to land safely around 5:30 p.m. Thursday.
