Acting on a tip that a shipment of marijuana was going to be delivered Tuesday, Valdosta Narcotics Detectives set up surveillance on Crestwood West Road.
They saw the delivery being made to a house, and questioned Jennifer Bishop, 53, after she accepted the package. They found 14 grams of marijuana, 64 pills of THC, and 5.3 pounds of gummy candies that are suspected of being infused with THC.
Bishop was arrested on charges of felony possession of marijuana with intent, and felony possession of a schedule I drug.
“I am very pleased with the recent efforts by the Valdosta Police Department Narcotics Unit and their efforts to intercept significant quantities of illegal drugs before they hit the streets of our city," said Chief Brian Childress.
