ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The City of Albany will soon become a purple heart city.
Tuesday, Marvin Mixon presented to the commissioner a plan to make the city purple heart city.
The American Legion will provide money to get the signs.
Mayor Dorothy Hubbard says this a great way to show support to those who've served.
"I always want to give credit where credit is due and certainly we deserve a lot of credit. Because we would not enjoy the freedom that we enjoy, you know if they didn't but their lives on the line," Mayor Dorothy Hubbard.
Each sign will be at the entrances of the city.
