LOWNDES CO., GA (WALB) - Deputies said the driver of a speeding car on the interstate has been arrested after he was caught with dozens of stolen credit cards.
A Lowndes County Sheriff's deputy pulled over a car that was clocked traveling south on I-75 at 90 miles per hour.
The driver, identified as Yariel LaRosa, allowed a search of his car, where officials found 36 debit and credit cards embossed with other people's names.
LaRosa was arrested and charged with financial transaction card forgery, speeding, and driving with a suspended license.
Deputies further found that the information encoded on the cards did not match the names on them.
Yariel LaRosa was booked in the Lowndes County Jail.
Detectives with the sheriff's office have since then contacted the United States Secret Service in an effort to identify the victims whose information was stolen.
