Police have now identified the person suspected of taking a customer's phone at the Walmart on Cordele Road on Sept. 19.

The suspect in the surveillance footage was identified as 29-year-old Stephanie Garner. She's charged with theft of mislaid property.

According to reports, Teresa Jones forgot her cell phone at the check-out counter when she left the store.

When she came back to get her phone, it was no longer there. After checking store surveillance video, officials said the customer directly behind Jones during check-out placed the phone inside one of her bags of merchandise before leaving the store.
