TIFT CO., GA (WALB) -

Folks fired up their tractors to see who could pull a sixty thousand pound sled in Tifton.

It's all part of ABAC's Ag Engineer and Technology Club's Bi-annual Truck and Tractor Pull competition. It's a 40-year-old tradition. Drivers see who can pull the sled the furthest.
Two hundred people are competing in the festivities. All the proceeds will benefit the club.

"It's a lot of fun,” said Gabe Strother, Club President. “When these trucks and tractors go down the track you can feel it in your chest. It's just something about seeing the horsepower doing a drag race with 60,000 lbs in tow that just gets people excited."

The top three winners get cash prizes. The event will run till Saturday.
