ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Albany Police Department was trying to find the man who held up a motel Tuesday night, using a threatening note. Thursday, James Harris, 25, of Albany, turned himself into the Albany Police Department Investigators.
Detectives said 25-year-old James Lenard Harris went into the Quality Inn on North Westover Road on September 23, and handed the night clerk a note that demanded the money from the cash register.
Harris was wanted for robbery by force and burglary.
The clerk did not see a weapon, and said that Harris pushed her aside, reached into the register, and took the money.
