VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) - A monkey has reportedly been sighted once again in Valdosta, this time by a Valdosta State University police officer.
The officer claims to have seen the monkey while patrolling along Brookwood Dr. early Monday morning.
According to the officer, the monkey ran across the street near the Fine Arts building and disappeared near the Communication Arts building.
Other officers searched the area, but didn't find anything.
A citizen reported seeing a monkey near Hahira on September 7th, and since then there have been over a dozen reported monkey sightings around the county.
A man fishing on the Withlacoochee River south of Clyatteville on September 10th claimed to have gotten a picture of the monkey, though the photograph was not clear.
If you do see a monkey, do not approach it and call 911.
