Apartment break-in raises concern of police

AMERICUS, GA (WALB) -

Police say a recent apartment break-in is concerning.

The resident at the complex off Murphy Mill Road says two TV's were stolen while he was at work.

Police say there are no signs of forced entry, but they're still following leads.

"We haven't had very many issues in that particular area as far as residential burglaries so this is also very concerning to us and investigators here are following up on any leads that may obtain at this time and we are actively investigating at this time," said Interim Chief Herman Lamar.

Interim Chief Lamar reminds people to keep an eye out around their homes for anything that looks out of the ordinary and always call 911 if you think something is going on.
