LEE CO., GA (WALB) - Grand Island club in Lee County already has an 18-hole golf course, a pro shop and tennis courts. Saturday morning was the grand opening of another attraction.
The club now added a driving range that spans over 200 feet.
This morning members gathered around to take the first tees at the clubs prized addition.
Members of the club can hit for free. For non-members, its only 6 dollars for one bucket of balls and 10 for 2.
The general manager says the members are excited about their new feature.
"It's a great day," said Jeremy Morey. "Opportunity for out members to come out. They've been waiting on it for a while now. Just excited to get open and get it going for the golf in our community. It's going to help us increase membership and also get some people that aren't currently members of our club that can come out and use the range."
