AMERICUS, GA (WALB) - Georgia Southwestern University cut the ribbon Friday on their newly renovated Fine Arts building.
The renovations include the second largest green screen in the state for theater students. The building also houses an impressive glass blowing studio as well as a state of the art woodcutting machine.
"It really provides an opportunity for our students to experience first hand the types of technologies they'll be working with in the workplace. And when they graduate, they want to practice their own art. It really does set them on a great stage to be able to be successful," said Interim President Dr. Charles Patterson.
Work on the upgrades started early this summer.
