DNR asks for help to find bald eagle shooter

BANKS CO., GA (WALB) - Investigators are offering a reward for information leading to the arrest of those responsible for shooting and killing a bald eagle.

Georgia Department of Natural Resources officials said a juvenile bald eagle was found dead in Banks County on August 7.

DNR representatives posted a photo of the eagle and what happened on their Facebook page Wednesday.

Anyone with information is asked to call the DNR Ranger Hotline at 1-800-241-4113.
