Deputies talk with kids about making good choices.
They say it's a great way to connect with the kids.

"It sticks out  and it lets people know what CHAMPS is all about because it has the writing on it. I was actually at an intersection on day and he said is that a real patrol car," says Deputy Jerry Walters, with the CHAMPS program.

"Right now, with negativity in law enforcement right now we need to interact with the children and let them know we are not the villains out here. We are out here to help them," says Worth County Sheriff Jeff Hobby.

This year, about 240 students will graduate from the Worth County CHAMPS program. Right now, they're learning about hunting and firearm safety
