VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) -

Valdosta Police had been looking for a second ten-aged suspect for two and a half weeks in connection to a September third car-jacking on Mary Street. They arrested William David Casey White, 17, Tuesday evening at 6:00.

VPD says that someone on Blue Pool reported suspicious activity at a residence and patrol units found White, who first gave them a false name, but figured out that he was the same person they were looking for in the robbery and car jacking of a woman on Mary Street.

He is in the Lowndes County jail, charged with Criminal Damage to Property, Hijacking a Motor Vehicle, Aggravated Assault, Armed Robbery.  White is being held at the Lowndes County Jail pending judicial proceedings.

On September third, 20 year old Kelly Proffitt ran to a neighbor's house and called 911 to tell authorities that she had been robbed by two young men as she drove up in her driveway in the 100 block of East Mary Street.

Proffitt said they had a pistol, and demanded her money and the keys to her 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe, which she gave them.

The two took off, but were soon seen by VPD officers, who tried to stop the driver near East Magnolia and North Forrest Street. He took off, and wrecked the car, and the two ran, but a juvenile was caught and arrested by VPD and Lowndes County deputies.

Anyone wit information on this case should call VPD's anonymous crime tip line at 229-293-3091.
