ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Department of Natural Resources will be meeting in Atlanta on Wednesday to discuss the Sabal pipeline.
If the pipeline is permitted it will cross our natural water ways.
The public has an opportunity to respond about the plan.
"The people in District 5 have been clear on opposing the pipeline coming through district and as their representative I want to make sure that their voices and their concerns get heard and met," said County Commissioner Harry James.
"I'm not taking a position that's good or bad, but it's an opportunity for people to look at the pipeline one more time before it becomes a done deal," County Commissioner Ewell Lyle said.
The Sabal trail could be going under the Flint river which has been part of the project for over two years now.
The Army Corps. of Engineers may take some action in October.
