VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) - A female VSU student told Valdosta Police officers that she was robbed by a bike-riding man about 9:30 Sunday night, in the 1200 block of Williams Street.

Camry Jones, said she was walking down the road alone, when she was approached by two black men, in their twenties, on bicycles.  She said they first rode by and then turned around and started talking to her.

One of them rode away, and the other one came back, and asked to use her cell phone.

She said she gave him the phone to use but would not give him the password to unlock the phone.   She said that's when he pulled out a handgun from his pocket and showed it to her, but did not point it at her.

He demanded that she unlock her phone with her password, but she wouldn't.  She said he could not get into the phone, so he took the phone and a bookbag, and rode off.

Jones got back to campus and then called police.  No one was injured in the incident.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Valdosta Police Department.
