Fall is almost here, and before the temperatures drop is a good time to make sure your heater is working properly.
"Just going to the thermostat and turning it up a little bit and checking to see if the heat comes on doesn't suffice for what you need to be doing to make sure that that unit is operating safely and efficiently," said Bill Slaughter.
Slaughter also recommends not trying to make any repairs yourself unless you have experience.
