ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Advocates for the elderly are celebrating Adult Services Week.
The Adult Services Outreach Center in Albany serves patients with dementia.
Officials there want to help caretakers. They say it's important to keep patients active.
They encourage families to look into services for their family members as soon as possible.
"We're living longer and we're healthier in our older years and we need activities and things to do and some of the older people don't have family that can take care of them. But there are a lot of different places around like the senior centers, " said Nancy Goode, Development Director.
The Outreach Center says they are willing to help any family who needs help. You can call them at 229-432-2705.
