ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Members of a South Georgia church are raising money to help their pastor pay for his lung transplant.
Pastor Henry Hogan the third of St. Matthews Baptist Church in Newton received a left lung transplant August 24th.
Members are holding fundraisers to raise $10,000 which the Georgia Transplant Foundation will match. They've already held a donut sale raising $400.
"We're reaching out into the community for your pledges and for your support because this is a much needed cause and Pastor Hogan is a good pastor and we want to hurry and see him get well and come back," said Annette Jones, Evangelist.
A One Night Revival will be held October 16th at 7 p.m at Rehoboth Bible Church in Albany.
A Citywide Gospel Singing will be held October 17th and 18th at St. Matthews Baptist Church in Newton.
