MOULTRIE, GA (WALB) - The Southwest Georgia Chapter of Mother's Against Drunk Driving is encouraging you to think before you get behind the wheel.
"It's too many innocent people being hurt or killed because people are driving intoxicated," said Gary Robinson, MADD Leader.
Saturday morning, a towing company picked up a Pacifica on Ellenton-Norman Park Road after it hit a tree.
The driver left the scene.
State Troopers say you won't get away with drinking and driving.
"We're going to get out there and pound the streets hard to try to find these impaired drivers and it's not if you get caught, it's when you get caught because you're going to get caught," said Trooper First Class Cantrell Cooley, Georgia State Patrol.
"They need to think about what's going on for themselves, the people that drives these streets and the kids," said Robinson.
MADD leaders encourage victims of drunk drivers to attend victim's impact panel class Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Colquitt County Justice Center.
