ROCHELLE, GA (WALB) - A man suspected of collaborating with a marijuana grow house ring across several Georgia counties was taken into custody by drug agents.
Earnest Thompson was arrested and charged with manufacturing marijuana, conspiracy to trafficking marijuana, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
His charges are part of a year-long investigation of marijuana grow houses around Middle Georgia.
Thompson is one of the latest arrests by the Peach County Drug Enforcement Unit, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, and the Drug Enforcement Agency.
On the same day, investigators arrested Samuel Storey in Bainbridge, GA, and charged with trafficking marijuana and possession of cocaine.
In July, drug agents also arrested Jonathan Johnson in Perry, GA, and charged him with manufacturing marijuana, among other charges.
Officials said the arrests were all in connection to the Middle Georgia grow houses.
