LEE CO., GA (WALB) - Lee County Sheriff's Officials continue to investigate the phone call that shut down the SunTrust Bank Wednesday, but have no arrests so far.
Investigators say a man called the bank on U.S. Highway 19 South at 11:28, telling them he could see through the bank's surveillance system, threatening them.
The caller ordered the employees on the floor, and wanted them to wire him money.
Investigators say they are still tracing the call. They don't believe the caller actually hacked the surveillance cameras.
"No sir, we don't. But the security, internal security at SunTrust Bank is still working on that," said Investigator Billy Smith of the Lee Co. Sheriff's Office.
Sheriff's Investigators say they plan to file charges when they find the caller.
