Police confirmed that they found the remains of a body under a bridge near a farmers market.
Officials said they found decomposed human remains under a bridge on U.S. 41.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigations was called to the scene, near a set of railroad tracks.
Police did not immediately say if there was any obvious signs of trauma, but noted that the body had been there for "some time."
According to detectives, a fisherman who was cutting through a path to get to a nearby creek saw the body under the bridge just before 1 p.m. Monday.
An autopsy is expected to be ordered to determine the body's identity.
