Convicted killer's life sentence upheld

ATLANTA, GA (WALB) - A New Jersey man, who is in prison for life, was turned down on appeal of his life sentences, by the Georgia Supreme Court.

47-year-old Kenneth Ponder was convicted of killing 33-year-old Terry Crawford got three life sentences for the 2004 murder in Terrell County.

Crawford was gunned down in front of his girlfriend's home.

The three life terms are being served concurrently, followed by an additional 15 years.

Toris Gilyard was found guilty on the same charges earlier, and is serving a life sentence, plus 25 years.
