LOWNDES CO., GA (WALB) -

Troopers from Georgia State Patrol Post 31 in Valdosta say that a woman died in a single car wreck about 4:00 this morning when her car went out of control.

Corporal Chris Kelch says that trooper Hawk Parrish was dispatched to investigate a crash on GA Highway 94, near Vann Road in Lowndes County.

A 2003 Ford Taurus driven by Angela Marie Hannah, 31 years old from Valdosta, was traveling westbound on GA Highway 94 towards Valdosta, when it ran off the south shoulder of the road.

The car spun and struck a tree on the passenger side of the vehicle. Hannah was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash is under investigation and unknown at this time what caused Ms. Hannah to travel off the roadway. No charges will be filed.

The scene is clear and there was no road blockage.
