ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

A free concert was given Saturday on the Albany Mall lawn as part of a 9/11 memorial program.

Crosses were set up to remember those from Dougherty and Lee County whom had died in combat since World War I.

"The whole program is to remember and memorialize those men from Georgia particularly, that have given their lives in the war against terrorism since 2001," said Program Chairman Marvin Mixon. "Of course we recognize the sacrifices that all have made, especially the Georgians and their families."

Mike English from Fort Gaines came out to sing.
