ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Everything seemed to fall in to place after a tree fell on Stuart Avenue.
A driver heading down Stuart Ave. around 11 a.m. Saturday stopped just in time to avoid getting hit by a tree that fell across the two lane road.
Police then came out to help control traffic and to check on the driver.
The driver was not injured and two landscapers who were also coming down Stuart saw the tree and offered to help.
"We asked if they need some help and they said yeah. They had the county workers on the way, but it takes them a little while. Our type of business is the landscaping business. We always got a chain saw or some type of tool cutting something in the car," said James Gil, one of the two landscapers.
The two made short work of it and cleared part of the tree blocking the two lanes.
The county showed up and took care of the rest of the tree and traffic was cleared in a matter of minutes.
