Albany remembers 9/11

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

A stirring patriotic ceremony tonight outside the Albany Mall honored the victims of 9-11, first responders and troops who serve us, and Albany area service members killed in the line of duty.

American Legion Post 30 organizes this service each September 11th.

They also set up this Patriot Field of Flags.

"We put out about 850 flags here, and we put out over 200 crosses for the men that past away in the state of Georgia in the line of duty," Samuel Foster said.

There will be another event at the Field of Flags tomorrow night a concert Saturday at 7 pm.
