South Georgia agencies honor 9/11 victims

CRISP CO., GA (WALB) -

The Sheriff's Office is one of many agencies supporting 9-11 victims Friday. The sheriff flew the flag at half staff all day.

Select people in the office also wore t-shirts commemorating the victims. Law enforcers said it shows they're all part of one big family.

"We know what it's like to do the job that they do so it's very important that we take that moment to recognize what they did and the sacrifices they gave for us," said Sgt. Ben Bray with the Crisp County Sheriff's Office.

Nearly 3,000 people died in attacks in New York, Washington, and Pennsylvania 14 years ago.
