Some Decatur County homeowners could get a break on insurance premiums thanks to cooperation among city and county agencies.
The county fire department moved into the west Bainbridge fire station last week to help with response times. Leaders say it shows the unity of city and county firefighters.
"It gives the county a second station there. Also, it brings in people in the county within the five mile district of that area to get the ISO rating-- lower insurance ratings. We have the space; we have the extra room so we invited them to come join us," said Major Doyle Welch of Bainbridge Public Safety.
This is the first time the departments have shared a station.
