Albany man receives call from Georgia Lottery scammer

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

A scam alert from an Albany man who got a call from someone claiming to be from the Georgia Lottery.
The caller told Ricky Bray he won more than $3.3 million and a Mercedes Benz.
He just needed to send $985 to a bank in Louisville, Kentucky.

"Then I will receive my package in the mail at 11 o'clock and he even asked me what state I'm in, but if you representing the Georgia Lottery how would you not know what state I'm in,” said Ricky Bray. “I need to just let everybody know that this is a scam."

Bray says he's never played the Georgia Lottery so he knew it was a scam.
