ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

"War Room" is number one at the box office!

The faith-based drama by Albany's movie-making brothers, Stephen and Alex Kendrick, brought in $9.3 million dollars over the holiday weekend to outpace "Straight Outta Compton" after finishing second to that movie the week before.

One patron said it's a must-see movie that she plans to watch again.

"We need people that produced that movie to produce more movies on that scale because there's a need for prayer in our country and in our homes and this was a very inspiring movie and I feel like everyone should go and see it,” said Pastor Gloria J. Pollard.

"War Room" is the fifth movie from the Kendrick brothers.

It's their first film to be shot outside of Albany and the first they made through their own production company, instead of Sherwood Baptist Church.
