New Thomasville Publix set to open Thursday

THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) -

After a groundbreaking last May,  Thomasville's new Publix supermarket will officially open, at 7:00 Thursday morning,

Called "Publix at Park Place" it is about a half a mile down the road from the original location, next door to Lowe's, at 13775 Highway 19 South.

In addition to the traditional grocery, meat, produce, dairy and frozen food departments, the new 53,785 square-foot store will have a  pharmacy, bakery, deli, floral, and fresh seafood.  It will employ about 175 people.  
    
General store hours will be 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.

Pharmacy Hours are:
Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Saturday    9:00 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Sunday    11:00 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Publix is privately owned and operated by its 176,500 employees, with 2014 sales of $30.6 billion.  Publix has 1,103 stores in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, South Carolina and North Carolina.
