ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Sunday, children got to learn all about bees and the environment during "Discovery Days" at the Flint Riverquarium. There were some arts and crafts activities, as well as honeycomb-making. Operations Manager Vicki Churchman said that it was a fun way to learn about the environment.
"Well its important for everyone to be aware of the environment, what's going on outside, and get up and move around outside and explore the world," said Churchman. "And this is an opportunity just to encourage children to do that."
There will be a "Tadpole Time" for parents and preschoolers on Wednesday, September 16.
